How to Set Up Trane XL824 for the First Time

Assuming you have just purchased your thermostat, the first step is setting it up. However, you will need the following

  • High-speed internet connectivity
  • Wi-Fi network name and password
  • A valid e-mail address

Ensure your thermostat is connected and powered with new batteries.

  • Press the ON button to Turn it on
  • Go to set up wizard which allows you to connect the XL824 to Nexia™ Home Intelligence

  • Go to MENU
  • Then SETTINGS
  • Select USER SETUP WIZARD.

Trane XL824 Thermostat Screen Calibration

How to Remove Trane XL824 Thermostat Cover

Trane thermostats are made up of two parts of the wall(wall plate and control head). The control head is usually referred to as a cover. It also contains a battery compartment. Here is how to go about it.
